NAWDIC mission with HALO now underway

The NAWDIC mission has officially begun with the transfer flight of the research aircraft HALO from Oberpfaffenhofen to Shannon, Ireland, on 13 January 2026. Successful first mission flight for ASCCI mission

Today’s first long mission flight of HALO for the ASCCI mission went well. Landing was approx. 18:41 local and thus almost 9:40 hours flight time practically as planned. No major instrument problems were reported in the de-briefing. We will now continue with three ground days as planned and the transfer to Kiruna as a longer measurement flight
