The upcoming call within the Priority Programme „Atmospheric and Earth System Research with the High Altitude and Long Range Research Aircraft (HALO)“ (SPP 1294), for projects starting in 2028 („HALO 2028“) is expected to open in summer 2026.

Call for proposals: HALO-Related Topical Workshops 2026
The HALO SPP 1294 coordinators call for proposals for HALO-related Topical Workshops. Topical Workshops should be related to completed or planned HALO missions or may focus on a special topic covered by the HALO SPP 1294. Organizational costs (e.g., room, catering) and travel costs of invited guests can be funded in accordance with the applicable laws and guidelines.
Please send your short proposal with information about:
- topic, objectives, respective HALO mission(s);
- tentative place and date of the workshop;
- expected number of participants;
- rough cost estimate
