photochemistry and aerosol particle
formation in the tropical atmosphere.
A trip upside down: Many scientists from the Max PIanck
Institute for Chemistry (MPIC) traveled Down Under in
the first weeks of January and experienced an absolute
reversal of temperature and weather conditions. This was
also the case for Dom Jack, graphic designer and photo
reporter at the MPIC, during his trip to Australia. Starting
off in Mainz with wet and icy minus two degrees, he lan
ded in Cairns with hot and humid temperatures exceeding
30 degrees Celsius. He visited the researchers during
the CAFE-PACIFIC research campaign to document their
scientific work in pictures and sound
