HALO ist back from the campaign CAFE-Brazil! Yesterday, it landed safely in Oberpfaffenhofen. We are glad to have accomplished an extraordinarily successful campaign.
Many thanks to the very dedicated team and our Brazilian partners, without whom this campaign would not have been possible.
By completing more than 180 flight hours, we gathered a treasure of data, which we are excited to explore. We will reconvene in May/June for a workshop on the gathered data.
Now, the scientific instruments are removed from HALO and the aircraft will be prepared for an extended maintenance in the USA. Latest in June 2023, HALO will be back in Oberpfaffenhofen. We are already looking forward to the next research campaigns.
