Santiago, May 24 2019.- Chilean, German and Argentinian scientists, as well as political authorities of these three countries, met in the halls of the Chancellery of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for two days, in the workshop „SouthTRAC HALO“, a workshop that brought together researchers and that want to relate to the German scientific project Southern Hemisphere Upper Troposphere and Lower Stratosphere.
The project seeks to know the composition and phenomena in the southern hemisphere of the planet, through the realization of two air expeditions in the HALO laboratory plane, acronym for „High Latitude and Long Range Research Aircraft“, which will fly both in the southern area of South America and in the Antarctic Peninsula, operated by the German Aerospace Agency (DLR).
